Even if Novak Djokovic surpasses all the records but he will never be able to replace Roger Federer: Gilles Simon

World No.1, Novak Djokovic recently tested positive for coronavirus and it as it is said, it was spread among the tennis society, which was present at the Adria Tour.

Adria Tour, was an event hosted in the Balkan cities with spectators.

Gilles Simon recently said Novak is ‘less-loved’ compared to his two nemeses Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Whenever Djokovic faces either two of them almost all cheers are for Roger or Rafael.

Simon thinks even if Djokovic surpasses all the records of Federer, he will never be able to replace the Ambassador of tennis.

“You just have to accept that Roger is not only Roger in tennis but in the whole world. He’s the most loved sportsman, you can’t fight. Even if Djokovic won 22, 25, 36 Grand Slams, he can say that he was the strongest, but people will still prefer Roger,” Gilles Simon told Tennis Break News.

Tennis world began disliking Novak Djokovic since he got in between the fan favourite “Federer Vs. Nadal”. He is called as the one who gate-crashed into the ‘Federal’ rivalry. Also, Djokovic is not tempting in his game. Even though his returns and defence are incomparable, he can never match those banana forehand shots like Nadal or an unforced backhand like Federer.

Nevertheless, Novak Djokovic is one of the nicest persons on the professional tour, full of sportsman spirit, and has a never-ending devotion for tennis.
