The 2024 F1 season has proven to be an extremely exciting affair. With only six races remaining, three teams are still in the hunt for the coveted constructors’ championship. Ferrari is currently in third place behind Red Bull and McLaren but despite this, Carlos Sainz genuinely feels his team can overtake both rivals.
Ferrari has so far managed to amass 441 points in the standings whereas Red Bull is sitting in second place with 475. McLaren on the other hand, is into the 500’s and is thus, leading the championship handsomely with 516.
However, Carlos Sainz is not willing to throw in the towel just yet!
The Maranello-based team’s SF-24 has proved incredibly inconsistent during the ongoing season. This is one of the reasons why Sainz and Charles Leclerc have been seen struggling inside the cockpit of the car on a few occasions.
Carlos Sainz expects the Max Verstappen-led Red Bull to get ‘stronger’
While Carlos Sainz is focused on winning the 2024 constructors’ title, he has admitted that Red Bull could get stronger in the coming races. Like Ferrari, the Milton-Keynes-based team has also struggled with various kinds of issues in the RB20.
Moreover, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have openly bashed the challenger on several occasions.
The remaining races of the ongoing campaign could produce some insane fireworks between the top three teams. McLaren, Red Bull, and Ferrari have extremely potent drivers and thus, they could be seen getting their elbows out fully in order to triumph in the constructors’ tussle.
From Ferrari’s perspective, the most important thing would be to get things right with the SF-24 at all the remaining races in the season. If they manage to do so, they could really have a serious shot at the coveted title by the time Abu Dhabi comes around.
