“99 percent of your result is done on Saturday”: Sergio Perez predicts an “intense” qualifying session in Monaco

Sergio “Checo” Perez has made his Mexican fans very happy with his current form as he has ranked within the top 5 in five out of the six Grand Prix’s that have happened till now in this all-new F1 2022 season. The Red Bull racer, who signed with the Milton-Keynnes-based team in 2020, has delivered an amazing performance in this year, and has been one of the most consistent racers in the grid as of now.

As a Red Bull driver, Sergio’s main aim is always set upon winning the race. With the Monaco Grand Prix coming up in a week’s time, Sergio knows he has to bring his A-game with him at Monte Carlo, so that he can reach the top of the grid.

As a racer who has won podium finishes in most of the 2022 races, Sergio Perez wishes to continue his purple patch in Monaco, and for that, he knows how important it is to perform well in Saturday’s Qualifying Session at the Circuit de Monaco.

The street circuit in Monaco is hardly a place where the racers get to overtake the cars in front of them, and that is why their starting position in the grid is crucial. And, to get a good starting position, Perez knows he has to be flawless with his Red Bull RB-18 in the Monaco GP Qualifying Session on Saturday.

When asked about his strategy for the weekend in Monaco, Sergio Perez said, “Monaco is one of the most special weekends of the season, especially that Q3 on Saturday. Qualifying can become very intense there because you know 99 percent of your result is done on Saturday.

After saying that, Check Perez also mentioned his love for the Monte Carlo racetrack as he said, “I love the track there, it’s just great, you cannot make a mistake in Monaco because if you do, it is normally very costly.
