British GP: Silverstone set for tricky conditions throughout the course of the weekend

Weather predictions for the British GP

British GP has always been full of surprises and we expect nothing less this weekend. Last year, we saw an epic battle between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton with the former ending up crashing into the safety barriers. We can expect a same sort of battle between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc but a lot of other teams can spring up with a surprise especially with the expected conditions throughout the weekend.

We saw something of this sort in Monaco. Ferrari looked like the team to beat because their superiority in the slow corners but heavy showers before the start threw all the predictions out of the window. The Italian Giants did have the slight edge but Red Bull’s proactive decision making helped to beat their arch rivals. Things can change pretty quickly in such conditions.

There is a high possibility of rain affecting the Grand Prix. What this means that the choice of tyres can become a huge factor. We have seen in previous races that tire degradation has been high in Silverstone. Therefore it becomes imperative for the teams to find the right set up or else it can prove to be a disaster in terms of the results.
