Daniel Ricciardo, the AlphaTauri driver, is going to be out of action for a while, and with him being out, former Red Bull driver, David Coulthard’s request to drive the AT04 has been denied by Christian Horner in a fun way. Moreover, the opportunity has been given to Red Bull junior, Liam Lawson.
The New Zealander has already driven the AT04 during the Free Practice 3 session that took place just a few hours ago. While he was seen struggling behind the wheel of AlphaTauri’s lackluster car, the seat is pretty much his until Daniel Ricciardo is fit enough to make a roaring comeback.
Christian Horner has recently addressed Coulthard’s request and added, “Dear DC, thank you for your application, and despite the significant amount of crash damage at numerous races you created we might be in need of a reserve and has the silver fox of the paddock you would at least make Fernando Alonso feel young again. Best wishes Christian.”
Looking at the reaction of Horner, it is pretty clear that he has seen the fun side of things and pretty much joined the bandwagon with his fun response. The Vrit rarely shows his fun side in the F1 paddock, but whenever he does, it is noteworthy and makes people laugh up and down the paddock.

Christian Horner has got his hands full with a tricky Dutch GP
While Christian Horner has taken the time from his busy schedule to have a bit of banter, he is very much aware of the tricky task on his hands at the 2023 Dutch GP. The FP3 session was very wet and almost all the drivers were having a difficult time in keeping their respective cars on the tarmac.
The same was the case for Red Bull drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. The duo was seen fighting the conditions and considering that the upcoming qualifying session could also prove to be wet, the Milton-Keynes-based team has got a tough task ahead of them at the wet Zandvoort circuit.
The Dutch GP has traditionally proved to be a hard track to overtake considering that there is only one straight. Moreover, with the track conditions being wet for the upcoming qualifying event and also the race, the former could decide who would come out trumps at the Dutch GP.
