Max Verstappen had a great weekend in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Dutchman started P15 on the grid and moved up to P2 in the season’s second Formula One race. It was a a good recovery. Sergio Perez, Verstappen’s teammate, won the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. This was a big moment for the team as they celebrated another 1-2 finish after the Bahrain Grand Prix. However, after the race, reigning world champion Max Verstappen admitted he was frustrated because he did not win. Of course, he feels this way, because it is every driver’s goal to win the race.

Verstappen’s teammate Sergio Perez also had a brilliant race. The Mexican was way ahead of the others and had a smooth race without any trouble. After taking his first win of the 2023 Formula 1 season, Perez was filled with joy and embraced by his team, family and friends. However, there was one person who did not look too pleased in the footage. It was Max Verstappen’s father Jos Verstappen

Max Verstappen had mentioned previously that his father was tough on him while growing up. Being a racing driver himself, Jos was the perfect mentor for Max Verstappen. This shaped him as a driver and pushed him to win. It seems that Jos does not like to see his son finish second. It’s no wonder that he did not smile while Perez was celebrating.
