Ferrari entered the Hungaroring with hopes of getting up from their ruins earlier this season. Turns out to be another and probably the most traumatic mistake they made in Hungary. Ferrari were the favourites to win the race and had hoped for a 1-2 finish on the track that suited them at best. But another mishap in their strategy threw away another win on the laps of its rival. Cheery on a messed-up cake for Ferrari was a Red Bull and Max Verstappen win even though they started 10th on the grid.

Tifosi all around the world openly criticized the Ferrari strategist after not doing their job as expected. The Italian teams haven’t performed as a championship fighting team is expected to fight for. They have thrown away three wins that could have been a sure sort of win for Charles Leclerc keeping him and the team head to head with Red Bull. Italian media didn’t hold back on giving away cynical reviews for the Hungarian GP.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport openly honoured Red Bull with the title after recognising Ferrari’s loss. “Formula 1 is going on holiday and with it Ferrari’s hopes for the world championship,” gave out the newspaper.

Max Verstappen after winning the Hungarian GP can now ease a bit with an 80 points gap to Charles Leclerc. Max could now have an advantage of 3 DNFs and will still stay ahead in the championship.

“Max can stay away from the next three races in Belgium, The Netherlands and Monza and return in Singapore with the mathematical certainty that he is still leading the standings,” reported La Gazzetta.

Charles Leclerc could count himself out of the championship. The last thing to motivate the Italians would be a 1-2 finish in Monza after the summer break.
