Lewis Hamilton at the end of the Hungarian Grand Prix was able to land his W13 in second place and afterward has indicated that Mercedes is getting to a point from where they would be able to challenge the likes of Max Verstappen and Red Bull during the races slated after the end of the summer break.

Lewis Hamilton after today’s stunning outing has managed to get on the podium for the fifth consecutive time this season. The Brit faced a DRS issue during Saturday’s qualifying and was not able to go above P7, however, during the race Hamilton turned his beast mode on and breezed past the cars that were ahead of him.

His stint on the soft tires was mega and it was during that time that Hamilton was able to do the most damage. His pace was so good that by the closing stages of the race, he was able to overtake his teammate George Russell who was running in P2.

Lewis Hamilton is very pleased with his performance and has said, “Really happy to recover from seventh is huge for us. If we had that lap yesterday we would’ve been on the front row and today perhaps would’ve been a different result. I got a good start, that last stint was pretty special.
