With the drivers reaching early and making several public appearances in Miami with other sporting celebrities, the heat of the Miami GP has started to be felt plenty of days earlier than the scheduled first practice session. And one can only imagine the glamour that will be seen during the three days of racing of the inaugural Miami GP.
Most recently, Mercedes driver George Russell was spotted in FTX Arena during a match between Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers, with his girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt. The Eastern conference semi-final resulted in a Heat win by 106-92.
The couple was spotted on the giant screen, the Jumbotron, as they were sitting courtside. Russell’s girlfriend pointed towards the screen as the couple became the highlight of the evening.
Who else was in the arena other than George Russell?
Miami is said to be one of the most happening places in the world. And where would you rather be if not a semi-final of an NBA game. With F1 and NBA happening in the same week, Miami isn’t bound to sleep and will be seeing a lot of high profile parties in the coming days.
Apart from George Russell, Max Verstappen also visited to watch the game between the Heat and 76ers. The Dutch driver shared a picture with the Formula 1 driver and Formula E’s 2014 champion, Nelson Piquet Jr., who also happens to be his girlfriend’s brother.
Both Piquet and Max posed with the team’s jerseys, with their names and numbers imprinted. However, it wasn’t Max’s #1 that he has opted for his car this year, but his older number, #33.
