“We wish Fernando the best for his future,” Alpine bids farewell to Fernando Alonso after his unexpected move to Aston Martin for the 2023 season

Alpine finally bids its farewell to Fernando Alonso after he served the teams for 2 years. Alpine was Renault before the 2021 season, which had a different place in the 41 years old life. Fernando won two titles with Renault and ended Michael Schumacher’s era of dominance. Alonso finally moves on from a long-connected team to Aston Martin in 2023. This move was unexpected for everyone with no indication of a talk between the driver and team.
Sebastian Vettel announced his retirement at the end of the season that vacating a spot for Alonso to jump in. Mike Krack was delighted to have another world champion on board and hopes to get the full use of drivers’ knowledge to help the team move to the top. French team, on the other hand, were left shocked by the announcement but anyway bid a happy ending to Alonso’s fantastic run with the team.
“We wish Fernando the best for his future in Formula 1. Fernando has always been, and always will be, part of the Renault and Alpine family and we’re proud and privileged to have shared so many on-track moments together,” it said on Twitter.
Alpine looks for a better 2022 ending
Alpine is currently battling McLaren for the fourth position and is ahead of them. The French team looks forward was a better ending to Alonso’s career with them. What else could be dreamt of ending with a fourth in the championship?
“We look forward to finishing the remainder of the 2022 season with Fernando in blue, and we’ll keep pushing to the maximum until the final lap in November,” said French team.
With only a few races left for this season to end Alpine will start its work on the 2023 cars. They wouldn’t want Alonso to keep his head around with all the information.
