Lewis Hamilton is an icon both on and off the track. He broke several records. He holds the same number of championships as the legendary Micheal Schumacher. The Briton worked hard to reach this position. Hamilton has mentioned time and again that his F1 journey was not an easy one. The Mercedes star broke all the barriers and is one of the most reputed Formulae 1 drivers.

His achievements do not include only his career but also his projects outside Formula 1. Hamilton has one of the most loyal fan bases. The fans look up to him and draw inspiration from the Mercedes driver. He is known for sharing positive messages through his social media posts. Formula 1 fans travel worldwide to attend a Grand Prix and meet their favorite drivers. However, one lucky fan did not have to travel far to meet the champion. He met Lewis Hamilton most unusually.

Lewis Hamilton is among the highest-paid athletes and has more than one house. In 2010, he moved to Monaco. He often expressed his love for the place. Recently, Hamilton was spotted jogging in Monaco. A fan took to social media and shared a video of him waving at Hamilton from his car. It is not every day you come across an F1 legend. The fan shared the video with the caption, “Called him out as if he’s my cousin. He’s the only F1 driver I never saw around in Monaco, but now that is off the list.” Monaco is a hub for Formula 1 drivers. It is no wonder the fan bumped into the other drivers before. Monaco is considered a tax haven. This makes it easy for the F1 drivers and other athletes to live here. Tennis stars like Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Milos Raonic, and others live in Monaco.

Apart from Lewis Hamilton, some of the other Formula 1 drivers who live there are Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, and others. Leclerc is often seen driving around in his Ferrari. Verstappen is also spotted going for runs in the area. There are whispers that George Russell is looking to join his colleagues in Monaco soon.

Running into F1 drivers is a normal thing for the people residing in Monaco. However, the drivers are traveling throughout the year. They do not stay in one place for too long. Their career demands them to keep moving. This season there are 23 races held across the globe. No other sport requires this level of traveling. The schedule is hectic. Hence, the fans are happy to meet their idols anywhere, anytime.
