Yes! Here we are talking about the 2019 Wimbledon Championship wherein his 5th set against Novak Djokovic, Federer led 8-7, 40-15 on his own serve, handing Djokovic his 16th Slam title.

Although it was always Roger Federer who was dictating the play, where as Novak, he could only ‘stand and defend everything thrown at him’, belives many tennis fraternity also that the match was quite one-sided.

Former Wimbledon champion, Boris Becker turned out to be a big fan of the match and even went on saying that it was the best match at Wimbledon.

For him, Federer was clearly better player as Djokovic was magnificently turning half chances into breakpoints, setpoints, and eventually championship points for himself.

Becker said, “I was honored to do commentary of that match for five hours. Going into it, I always thought that Novak Djokovic was the defending champion and a couple of years younger than Roger Federer. It was a warm day and Roger already had a tough match against Rafa in the semis, so I felt Novak was the favorite.”

“Roger just played him out of the park and was the better player, still ending on the losing side. Those guys exchanged shots that I didn’t think was possible over such a long period. And I would call the last year’s Wimbledon final the best ever,” Boris added as quoted by TennisWorldUSA.
