FINA postpones World Aquatics Championships to 2022

On Thursday, FINA said that World Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi is rescheduled and it will be held in December. It has been pushed back by a year due to the Coronavirus pandemic which brought a halt to all the sports events around the world. This competition will now be held from Dec. 13-18, 2021. The World Aquatics Convention will also take place in Abu Dhabi from Dec 10-12, 2021.

“We have worked in close co-operation during the last weeks with the UAE authorities on this matter and we believe this is the most suitable solution for all those taking part in this competition,” FINA President Julio Maglione said.

Actually, The FINA World Championships or World Aquatics Championships, which was originally sheduled to take place in 2021, has now been resheduled to take place in 2022.
