“He’s amongst the top 10 players in the world,” Dani Carvajal throws in support for troubled Eden Hazard

Real Madrid’s veteran Spanish defender Dani Carvajal has shown his support for struggling Eden Hazard, ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk this week. Carvajal has recently returned to the scheme of things, during Real Madrid’s El Clasico victory last week after spending a month out of action due to a muscle injury.

Eden Hazard also suffered a similar injury during the international break with Belgium and was also out of action for a couple of weeks. However, despite having been fit for the past couple of weeks, the Belgian winger has struggled to make it into Carlo Ancelotti’s starting lineup.

Both players have had a host of injury problems to deal with in the recent seasons

In what has been a disastrous start to his career, at the Spanish capital, Hazard has suffered far too many injuries and spent more time on the sidelines than being on the pitch and doing what he would have loved to do- don the Royal Whites of Real Madrid. This has led to many supporters starting to question whether he should be sold off next summer if his fitness issues continue to re-appear.

However, it seems he still has the respect of the Real Madrid players, who continue to believe in his abilities on the pitch. Dani Carvajal is one such player and the Spanish international has backed Hazard to come out of the rut and show everyone his true qualities.

Speaking to the media, Carvajal said, “His, is not an easy situation. He’s a lad who works hard and from what he’s told me, he tries different routines to improve. The gaffer is managing him well and using him gradually. As soon as he gets in the groove and up to speed, I think that he’s a top player and there is no doubt that he’s amongst the top 10 players in the world”.

Hazard has also not been helped by the form his compatriot Vinicius Junior has shown this season, which has made it even more difficult for Ancelotti to give the Belgian more minutes on the park.
