David De Gea angry with Harry Maguire’s sloppy back pass

Harry Maguire’s poor back pass at the 24th minute to David De Gea almost put Aston Villa 1-0 ahead in the game. David De Gea was not able to reach out and slided to clear the ball out of the box but Ollie Watkins was there to receive and fired a shot to only meet with an excellent save from the Spanish keeper.

David De Gea was furious with Maguire as he instead of clearing the ball for a corner gave an unorthodox pass, which left the keeper baffled. Solskjaer will have a stern talk with his team and will have to learn from their mistakes and come out stronger in their next game.

“I thought we were very good on the transition, defensively we won the ball in good positions, attacked quickly and then when we got up there, the final decision, the final execution, the quality in the pass or the shot or the decision wasn’t good enough to get goals,” Ole Gunner Solskjaer said in his post match interview.
