France and Hungary played a thrilling 1-1 draw resulting in a huge point for the underdogs Hungary. France missed their chance of claiming all three points and securing a place in the knockout stages of the competition and Hungary earned their first point of EURO 2020.
Attila Fiola’s first half opener was cancelled out by Antoine Griezmann in the second half as the Les Bleus came from behind to earn a point. Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele had chances in the second half to score more goals but Gulacsi was brilliant and kept the French at bay. The result means neither team has qualified for the knockout stages and a thrilling match-day 3 awaits for us.

Lloris- 6.5/10 – Conceded the goal at his near-post and did not have much to do throughout the remainder of the match.
Pavard- 6.5/10 – Earned a yellow card early on, and wasn’t much effective in attack for France.
Varane- 6.5/10 – Played a solid match, except for the goal which was conceded from his side in defence.
Kimpembe- 6/10- Played out a decent match, and was good when called upon.
Digne- 6.5/10 – Came in for Lucas Hernandez and played a good match attacking and defensively.
Kante- 7/10- Was ever present in midfield and earned a late chance for France which they failed to ultimately take.
Pogba – 6.5/10- Tried a few tricks which did not work well and was well martialed by the Hungarian players.
Rabiot- 6/10- Did not have much of an influence on the game and was subbed off in the second half.
Griezmann-7.5/10 – Scored France’s only goal of the match and was their best player.
Benzema- 6.5/10- Did not have much involvement throughout the match and was later subbed off for Giroud.
Mbappe- 7/10- Assisted Griezmann’s goal after controlling a beautiful long ball ahead of three Hungary players.

Gulacsi- 7/10 – Couldn’t have done much for the Griezmann goal, but came up with impressive stops otherwise to keep the result at 1-1.
Botka- 6/10 –
Orban- 5.5/10- Played a decent match but his direct error led to France’s second half goal.
Attila Szalai- 6/10- Made a decent performance down the wings and did not allow Pavard much room in attack.
Nego- 6/10- Yet another exceptional shift from the midfielder and slowed the game down considerably in the second half.
Kleinheisler- 7.5/10 – A man of the match performance from the midfielder in centre of midfield. Kept France’s attacks at bay.
Nagy- 6 /10- A decent performance from the Nagy.
Fiola- 7/10- Scored the all important goal in the first half to give Hungary and improbable lead.
Sallai- 7/10-An assist for the forward to cap off a great performance in attack as well as defence. He was a constant threat for the French defence.
Adam Szalai- 6/10- A rather subdued match from the forward, who could not link up much with his other teammates.
