With the transfer market expected to go hot and busy for many clubs one of the players in the radar of many top clubs is Manuel Locatelli. The 23 year old Sassuolo Defensive Midfielder has been on a sensational form for in both Serie A and Italian National side for Euro 2020. Expectedly he has caught the eye of many clubs in Serie A as well as outside Italy.

Locatelli Transfer Situation

Juventus has been leading the race to sign the Italian midfielder this summer. With the appointment of Massimilano Allegri as the head coach of Juventus for a second stint the Italian giants are looking to reinforce and build powerful team for the next season, especially after having a very subpar 20-21 season with the Bianconeri qualifying for the UEFA Champions League by a whisker, that too on the last match day of the season.

According to Sportitalia Sassuolo and Juventus boards had a meeting earlier this month regarding the future of Locatelli and talks have been positive reportedly. The player himself had shown interested in Juventus and their project. A reported fee of 30 Million euros had been initially decided with an exchange of a 19 yr old youth defender Radu Dragusin from Juventus.

But a twist in the tale comes as reported by Italian media Gazetta, that Dortmund and Arsenal have also shown strong interest in the 23 year old. Arsenal board was always in search for a midfielder to bring to their squad with Dani Ceballos speculated to leave as his loan expires and Locatelli had been a top target for the Gunners. Also Dortmund has been looking to strengthen their midfield as well with the appointment of new manager Marco Rose.

Juventus must work on the transfer of Manuel Locatelli as soon as possible otherwise there may be a possible chance of hijack by other clubs offering more transfer fee that can go in the favour of Sassuolo.
