Jose Mourinho’s side Roma has been doing well, although they seemed to have faced some troublesome defeats in the last few weeks. Roma is currently at the sixth position in the points table and the Giallorossi will aim to come up with much better performance in the upcoming matchdays.

Jose Mourinho has tried to bring on some spice and some aggressive to the the squad and it is seen among the players. The former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was signed at the start of this season by Mourinho as soon as he was appointed as the new head coach of Roma.

Tammy Abraham has been the regular player for Roma under Jose Mourinho which is quite contrary to his time with his former club Chelsea where failed to make enough game time.

Tammy Abraham has grown into a completely different striker and he has results in his tally to show for that as currently the Englishman has five goals and two assists in 17 appearances for the Giallorossi.

How has Jose Mourinho helped Tammy Abraham to grow into a fine player at the Italian club, Roma?

Abraham credits Jose Mourinho for what he have been learning during his time in Roma, he said, “I think one of the things he (Jose Mourinho) said was I was too much of a nice player and that you have to show that aggressiveness as you’re getting older as a striker.”

“It’s not always about being nice on the pitch. You need that character, you need that presence to frighten defenders and I think that’s something I’m learning and getting better at.”

Tammy Abraham has taken the change in the environment well although it was difficult at first, “It’s always tough, moving and going to experience a different country and different culture.”

“I felt the sooner I settled in the better, and started learning different types of football and different styles. I’ve gone to spread my wings and hopefully I can keep up the level of performances I need to stay in the team.”

In this year Abraham has made three appearances for the English National team and has one goal. He was also subbed in at the 63rd minute of the game with the hero of the match Harry Kane, who scored a hat-trick in the match.
