SC East Bengal has announced the signing of Jackichand Singh on loan from Mumbai City FC for the upcoming season. The winger has played in many club in the I-League as well as in the ISL.
Jackichand Singh has played for SC East Bengal back in 2017 when at that time also he was loaned by the red and gold from Mumbai City FC. He had only 7 appearances for SC East Bengal that entire season.
Jackichand Singh after joining SC East Bengal said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be back at East Bengal. I am thankful to the management for giving me this opportunity to return to this big club. I love the fans here and I can’t wait to take the field in red and gold colours.”
Jackichand Singh’s Journey in the ISL
Jackichand Singh made his debut in ISL in 2015 with Pune City who bought him for 45 lakhs rupees from auction. He scored 1 goal in 9 appearances for the club and that goal is till now one of the fastest goal in ISL.
In 2016 Jackichand signed with Mumbai City FC and made his return in the ISL. He then went on to play for Kerala Blasters, FC Goa and Jamshedpur. He has a total of 13 goals in 91 appearances in ISL.
The winger joined Mumbai City FC last season from Jamshedpur on a three year deal. Jackichand Singh played a major role as a wing player to win the ISL title for the first time for Mumbai City FC.
Jackichand Singh will be getting more match time in East Bengal as they were in a need of someone good in the wing position. Head coach Robbie Fowler is getting his team ready for their second campaign in the ISL and will be looking to redeem themselves after their last season finish in the ninth spot.
