Leicester City have completed the signing of Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand, according to Fabrizio Romano. The player and the move will be made official in the coming days.
The 31-year old England international will sign a two year deal with the Foxes, after undergoing a medical check-up today itself. He joins Leicetser on a free transfer after his contract with Southampton ended on the 30th of June this year. Brendan Rodgers has wasted no time pouncing to bring the experienced defender in.

Leicester had been competing with Arsenal for Bertrand, but he has decided to move to the King Power, claiming that he was also being pursued by AC Milan and Monaco.
Bertrand helped Southampton establish themselves in the Premier League this season putting in a shift every time he played for the Saints. He has made 244 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight times. While he has not played in the last few weeks, Bertrand has helped Southampton to a mid-table finish this season.
The move comes just after a few days after Leicester signed Zambian striker Patson Daka, from Rb Salzburg. The leading goal scorer of the Austrian league was signed up by the Foxes for a fee of about £23 million.
The Foxes are well and surely looking to provide coach Brendan Rodgers with all the ammunition he needs to finally claim a UEFA Champions League spot next season after having come agonizingly close for the past couple of years.
