“Classless and the fans need to realize”- Jesse Lingard’s brother slams Manchester United for not giving the Englishman his well-deserved farewell at Old Trafford

Jesse Lingard had a tough time since his return from West Ham and will leave the club this summer. His brother takes a hand on Manchester United as he didn't feature in the last home game.

Manchester United played their last home game of the 2021-22 season against Brentford at the Old Trafford but Jesse Lingard couldn’t make his last appearance for the club, and thus could not get a farewell as he is all set to leave this summer.

This made Jesse Lingard’s brother quite angry and he targetted the club officials and management on social media, calling the act “classless”. The Red Devils will play their remaining two games away from home and Lingard might well feature in those games but missed out on his well-deserved farewell match at the “Theatre of Dreams”.

According to a social media post from Lingard’s brother, Louie Scott, was disappointed by the team management and Ralf Rangnick for not allowing him to step onto the field although they were leading 3-0 in the game. Along with Lingard, Mata, Matic, Rashford, and other players are also set to leave the club but he’s been with the team for around 20 years, winning 3 league titles and scoring 3 final goals.

“20 years of blood sweat and tears, 4 domestic trophies, 3 cup final goals, not even a farewell,” Scott thundered on his Instagram story.

“No wonder it’s Conference League next year. Attacking players for celebrations when the clubs are being sold to the super league ok. Class of 92, Busby Babes, you’re run by people who don’t even know the offside trap. Classless and the fans need to realise. Goodnight, God Bless! Been there since nine years of age and didn’t even get a send-off!!! Well done bro your family are proud,” he added.

Jesse Lingard has been associated with Manchester United for 20 years now having played in the youth and division and then called into the first team. However, the 29-year-old striker had a poor season after appearing only 22 times for the Red Devils, most of which are from the bench.

He featured in the starting line-up very often this season after having a good loan spell at West Ham last year. His contract expires this summer and he is not in the plan of the upcoming boss, Eric Ten Hag.

Lingard is chased by two big Seria A teams including AC Milan and Juventus but teams like Newcastle United and West Ham are giving a stiff competition to land the Manchester United boy on a free transfer.
