The 37-year-old, Cristiano Ronaldo was recently pictured in a pair of shorts as he made his way around 18 holes in Cheshire. Ronaldo has been making the most of Manchester United’s week off by hitting the golf course. Ronaldo, who has never been afraid to show off his physique, looked to be enjoying the weather in the North-West as he teed off at Mottram Hall.

Golf and football have gone hand-in-hand for a long time now, with the likes of John Terry and Ronaldo’s former teammate Gareth Bale proving useful with a driver in hand. The Portuguese star was taking time out during United’s week off, as their nightmare season nearly comes to an end.

The Portuguese legend re-joined Manchester United from Juventus last summer which was a shocking move for the football fans. Since his joining, he has scored 18 goals in the league but the Reds could not get close to any trophies for the fifth straight season. Eric Ten Hag’s appointment as the new head coach can thus, cause Ronaldo’s early departure from Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo couldn’t stop Manchester United from having a disastrous season

Cristiano Ronaldo

Nothing has gone up to plans for Manchester United this season, they were one of the heavy favorites to compete for the Premier League after finishing second last season, and with the arrival of the blockbuster signing of Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho, and none other than the GOAT Cristiano Ronaldo.

All their signing have shown patches of brilliance but have not been consistent throughout the season. Varane has been in and out of the starting eleven because of his injury vows as for Jadon Sancho, he started the season with zero goal involvements in the first seven premier league appearances but since had performed well and has been one of few good performers as of lately.

As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he started the season on fire scoring in every half-chance coming his way, but since the arrival of the interim boss, Ralf Rangnick has had a dip in his form.

Manchester United’s established players such as club captain Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, and many others had been heavily criticized for their substandard performances which also eventually lead to the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjær and the appointment of Ralf Rangnick which hasn’t been fruitful with United having 58 points after 37 games which is their worst points tally in Premier League era.
