Liverpool will play Chelsea in the FA Cup final at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday as the Reds are still in contention to win the quadruple this season. Liverpool defeated Manchester City in the semifinal of the FA cup as they thrashed them 3-2 with Mane’s brace and one from Konate. Salah and co. will travel to Wembley to bring home the trophy since 2006 as Klopp’s men are the favourites looking at their stats and results.

Chelsea is in the run for the one and the only silverware to catch in hands after their shocking CL defeat at the hands of Real Madrid in the quarter-final. Their Premier League title chase is over but will look to hold on to the third spot with Arsenal 4-points behind with two games to play.

Liverpool vs Chelsea: Preview

The Merseyside will look to make a double over the west London side at the Wembley after they emerged victoriously in the EFL Cup final against Tuchel’s side, while the Blues will look to avenge the loss by demolishing Klopp’s men convincingly to win their lone trophy of the season. The Reds have not won the FA Cup under Klopp’s supervision since 2006 when they defeated West Ham United by Gerrard’s goal.

Tuchel’s side is the defending Champions League winner and they are the runners-up of two previous FA cups and are in no mood to lose their third final on the trot. Their last three encounters included one win for the Reds in the EFL Cup on penalties and the other two league games ended in a draw. But Klopp’s men have an upper hand on the game as Tuchel’s men were not on point in their premier league run this season.

Liverpool vs Chelsea: Team News

The Merseyside will look to make the best possible XI after resting several players in their last PL encounter including Thiago Alcantara, Mo Salah, Henderson, and Konate. Firmino returns to the squad as Fabinho is ruled out after an injury in the last game. Klopp has the best option and will look to win the second cup of the season after having a star-studded squad.

Tuchel also has a wide range of options in his hands as Kante and Jorginho will be fit to be in the thoughts of Tuchel. Kovacic received a knock in their last outing against Leeds and might be off from Saturday’s final. Lukaku might get a start in the final for his presence in front of Liverpool’s strong defence with Havertz and Mount to lead the attacking line. Werner has been outstanding in the FA Cup matches with two goals and three assists which leaves Tuhcel to calculate between Lukaku and Werner.

Liverpool vs Chelsea: Prediction

Klopp’s side is the favourite to take home the trophy after their unbeaten run in their last eight matches as Chelsea is still doubtful to dominate over Salah and co. Despite the last time they met in the cup final ended in a draw over 120 minutes, the game on Saturday might end in favour of Liverpool within 90 minutes.

Final Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Chelsea
