Premier League: Burnley vs Tottenham Hotspur match gets postponed as conditions are unplayable at Turf Moor

The English Premier League has kicked started their 13th matchday from Saturday and we have seen some exciting actions from the top tier clubs as they battle for their respective spot in the points table.

Although an official notice from the twitter handle of Burnley FC has revealed that due to unplayable condition and concerning surrounding areas the match between the home side and Tottenham Hotspur has been postponed.

Lanchashire has been receiving some heavy snow fall since the last couple of days. The staffs made their best effort to clear the pitch as much as they could but still it was not much to allow the game to kick off at 2pm (UK) on Sunday.

Referee Peter Bankes said in an interview with Sky Sports said, “They’ve worked as hard as they possibly could but within 10 minutes of clearing it, the snow was back on the field.”

“Safety is obviously the primary focus for us and both managers were in agreement the spectacle wouldn’t be very good, and I think the best decision was to call the whole thing off.”

Antonio Conte is on the lookout of taking Tottenham Hotspur again back to the top four in the points table and has shown his disappointment as the match gets postponed, “It’s bitterly disappointing but I think the team made the right decision.”

“You can see, 10 minutes ago they tried to cut off the snow, and now it’s worse than before.”

Tottenham Hotspur currently holds the seventh position in the points table with 19 points while Burnley the 18th position with just 9 points to their tally. While one team will be on thr lookout to move up in the top four spots, the other will be looking to get themselves out from the bottom three to avoid relegation.
