Manchester United has had a roller coaster ride this season after they were evidently in and out of form in the league although they still have a long way to go as they currently sit at a seventh-place right behind Tottenham, West Ham and Arsenal.

Manchester United has faced a lot of criticism this season for their performance not only by some pundits and fans but also by some of the former Manchester United players like Gary Neville and Michael Owen. Rio Ferdinand former United star comes to the defense of his club thinking of it as a positive consequence.

Rio Ferdinand in his recent talk show live on his Youtube channel alongside Joel Beya and Stephen Howson spoke on some of the most spoken topics in the Premier League and has provided their clear thoughts on the recent situations.

Rio Ferdinand when about Manchester United’s performance against Newcastle United said that, “We were poor against Newcastle and you can’t get away from that fact, we were poor simple as that but that is still two wins out of three, two wins and a draw.”

“A lot of press who came out of the game, even one of my old mates Gary Neville, I thought we were in a relation battle listening to some of the comments coming out of people and the way the whole mood around the club really went into a negative place.”

Manchester United has redeemed themselves after they displayed some class football against Burnley on 31st December, thrashing The Clarets 3-1 in Old Trafford.
