Dennis Viollet played for Manchester United from 1953-1962. He was a key member of the squad during his time at the club under Sir Matt Busby. Viollet was regarded as one of the Busby Babes and was known for his goal-scoring ability.

Viollet scored at least 20 goals for the club for 6 seasons in a row between 1954 and 1960. The former Red Devil scored 32 goals in a single League campaign in 1959/60 season, which is still a club record for most goals scored in the League by a Manchester United player.

Viollet was a fan favourite and was one of the few who survived the Munich Air Crash in February, 1958. He made 293 appearances for the club and is one of the most iconic players in English football history. Dennis Viollet takes up the 5th spot in the all-time goal-scorers list.

Jack Rowley played for Manchester United almost 90 years ago when football was not so renowned. None of the fans from today’s generation must have seen him play and not many remember how good he was as there is not much footage of the matches.

But Rowley was a Manchester United legend and played for the club for 18 years, from 1937-1955. The English player was renowned for his goal-scoring ability and was a crucial part of the Red Devils just after World War 2.

Rowley scored a whopping 211 goals for the club during his time and played 424 games too in his 18 year spell. He is regarded as one of the best players to play for Manchester United in the 20th century. Jack Rowley takes up the 4th spot in the all-time list for goal-scorers.

Denis Law is one of the most iconic players to ever play for Manchester United. He was nicknamed the “King” at the club and rightly so as he bossed the game whenever he stepped onto the pitch. He played for the club 404 times during his long career.

Law played for Manchester United from 1962-1973. The former Red Devil scored just 7 minutes into his debut after his transfer from Torino. Law is one of the best players to play in England and has given some iconic moments to the Old Trafford faithful.

He once scored 46 goals in a single season in 1963/64, which is still a club record for most goals scored in a single season by a player for the Red Devils. Law also won the Ballon D’or during his time at the club and Manchester United have also unveiled a statue of him outside Old Trafford for his services to the club.

Sir Bobby Charlton is one of the best players to play for Manchester United and England. The former England striker was regularly nominated for the prestigious Ballon D’or and he helped Manchester United win many titles during his time at the club.

Sir Bobby played for the Red Devils from 1956-1973 and made 758 appearances for the club. He is surely a legend at the club. Sir Bobby was one of the few who survived the Munich Air Crash in 1958. He went on to stay at United after the crash and helped the club rise from the ruins and win the UEFA Champions League all in just 10 years.

Sir Bobby Charlton has a stand named after himself at the home of Manchester United, Old Trafford. The former Red Devil also has a statue of himself outside the club and he still comes to visit Old Trafford to watch the Red Devils play.
