Liverpool and Manchester City played out a highly entertaining 2-2 draw

Mohammed Salah picked up the ball right on the right side of the penalty box and dribbled past three players in Cancelo, and floored Bernardo silva who came into tackle the attacker. Next up, came Aymeric Laporte, to stop Salah on his tracks but a great feint got the better off the Spaniard and he struck a powerful shot past Ederson in goal to fire his side into the lead.

The goal from Salah, reminded people of another left footed superstar- Lionel Messi who has scored a number of goals like these throughout his illustrious career. The goal which Messi scored for FC Barcelona against Bayern Munich had a lot of things similar to this one by Mohammed Salah where he too had floored Jerome Boateng to the floor before scoring past Manuel Neuer.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s side failed to protect their lead and conceded 5 minutes later through Kevin De Bruyne’s deflected strike. City had made a comeback for the second time in the match after they had fallen behind to a Sadio Mane goal in the 59th minute.

Phil Foden scored the equalising goal for the Citizens and gave them an important point in what was a difficult match at Anfield.
