The moment of magic from the striker’s feet came in the 14th minute of the match, as Bayern were on the lookout for their first goal of the match. Leon Goretzka had a strike on goal, which deflected off a Dynamo Kyiv defender to lob up in the air, just where Lewandowski was positioned inside the penalty box.

This was also the ninth consecutive match in which Robert Lewandowski has now scored, continuing from the last season. It is the second time in his illustrious career that he has achieved this record in the Champions League.

As soon as he saw the ball in the air, he attempted the bicycle kick and to no one’s surprise caught it perfectly from the sweet part of his boot. He struck the ball and it rocketed into the net past the diving hands of the Kyiv goalkeeper.

The goal has once again fuelled talks of Lewandowski being awarded the Balon d’Or trophy next week, as the striker continues to excel and show his goal scoring form.
