Formula 1 2020 British GP| FP3 Results: Mercedes dominate as Valtteri Bottas fastest and Lewis Hamilton P2 in free practice 3

The results have been disclosed and Valtteri Bottas finishes with the fastest lap time and Lewis Hamilton in P2.

With Mercedes dominating the lap times, the Formula One 2020 British Grand Prix Free Practice is over and routine has returned to the grid.

Bottas set his fastest time with under 15 minutes remaining, his effort of 1m25.873s ominously close to his own 2019 pole position time of 1m25.093s.

Hamilton briefly led the session but ended up 0.138s slower than the Finn in P2. They are the overwhelming favourites for the win and podium on Sunday.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished third fastest and is looking a good holler for a third consecutive podium finish this season.

Lance Stroll finished fourth fastest and His F1-returning teammate Nico Hulkenberg did an honourable job and was in the Top 10.

McLaren’s Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris were fifth and seventh rspectively with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc separating the pair in sixth.

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was only 14th and revealed something loose in the cockpit after the team altered the pedals on Friday.
