The Monegasque driver managed to gain the ideal tow from Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton to secure a lap in 1m41.218 seconds. However, the 7-time World Champion was not too far behind as he only finished a quarter of a second after the Ferrari ace driver.
With Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton occupying the initial positions. The leading driver in the driver’s standings, Max Verstappen was involved in a massive clash with AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda.
