The weather forecasts for the Belgian Grand Prix have been a concern for all the team, including the drivers. Not only are there predicted showers on the race day and qualifying sessions on the fast-paced track, but Lewis Hamilton has also gone onto show concerns that the Mercedes challenger could deal with the stern weather after the first day practice sessions.

Hamilton currently holds the lead by eight points over Max Verstappen and the Belgian Grand Prix could either extend his tally or could make the Dutchman make his way up to the top. Knowing that Day 1 was full of unprecedented drama as Red Bull’s caused a red flag as well, no one could predict the Qualifying session positions for sure.

Safe to say that a few dismal weeks for the 23-year-old has opened the door for the seven time World Champion, Lewis Hamilton to regain control of the championship.

“It’s been an okay day, it’s a bit miserable here huh? It’s been cold but just grey, like normal English weather I guess but it’s been an okay day,” Hamilton said as quoted by Express.co.uk“The sessions are very short so there’s not a lot of knowledge to gain from the short time that we have, but we will try and navigate that the best way we can. At least it was dry for P2, so we got some laps in, but the car wasn’t quite underneath me today. We got to do work tonight to try and figure that out.”

Having said that, with the Qualifying session scheduled for tomorrow, the weather forecasts only seem to cause more difficulty for each team. Will we see more accidents and red-flag incidents? Remains to be seen.
