We are done with the 2021 Formula1 season but it seems the season is not done with all the interested parties. Formula1 is the pinnacle of motorsport racing and with what we saw in the closing stages of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix there was bound to be some late drama off the track.

The FIA in a statement given to PlanetF1 has stated that given what happened at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and the fallout among certain parties, they have decided to conduct a thorough investigation into all the incidents that took place on lap 53. This statement has come as they seem to think that the incident is ” tarnishing the image of the championship.”

As the FIA is going to look into the matter it is quite certain that they are going to find something that is going to carry some weight in the eyes of the fans, the media, and the interested teams. It is going to be fascinating to see what the FIA is going to do if they are able to find any concrete evidence in whosoever’s favor it might be.

The FIA is going to talk to both Red Bull and Mercedes and hear what they have to say regarding the situation and also they are going to sit down with the FIA team that was on ground zero when all the drama went down. One thing that is almost guaranteed is that we are going to witness a few more fireworks, while the action has calmed down on the track, the action of it seems to be picking a lot of paces, and the way things are going one won’t be surprised if someone has to face the ax.

The FIA in their press conference emphasized the fact that they are launching an investigation into the matter not only to find out what exactly happened but also to make sure if certain situations arise again in the coming seasons, they are able to dwell on the past and come up with better solutions.

They also said that they are hoping to bring more clarity regarding the rules for the drivers, the teams, and fans when incidents like Abu Dhabi happen again. This way teams would be better equipped to handle the situations and fans would be able to have a better grip over the action on the track.
