Dutch Grand Prix: FIA Confirms-No Track Limits at Zandvoort

As the Formula 1 2021 actions unravels its next chapter at Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix, the regulatory body of the sport, FIA has confirmed that there would be no track limits in the upcoming race. This means, that if a driver goes off the track at any given point of the race and then re-enters again, there would be no penalties charged upon him and the respective team.

However, this is only the story of corners eight and eleven. For the other corners which are framed by a cemented wall, there are limited track limits being imposed. This decision by the FIA has surely put Zandvoort in a unique mix as the drama is all set to unravel from tomorrow infront of the Dutch fans. 

FIA Confirms no track limit for Dutch Grand Prix

“If a driver overshoots the corner at Turn 1 there is a small road along the front of the tyre barrier which leads back on to the track at the exit of Turn 1, please ensure that your drivers use this when necessary,” the race directors notes stated. 

Having said that, it remains to be seen what drama shall unfold as the Dutch fans cheer on their homeboy, Max Verstappen to potentially snatch back the lead from the clutches of Lewis Hamilton.
