Jean Todt was left a disheartened man at the annual FIA gala ceremony in Paris as he felt that Mercedes should have been represented properly at the Gala ceremony. He was referring to Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff as they did not show up at the ceremony and only sent their Chief Technical Officer James Allison.

The Mercedes duo was not seen at the Gala ceremony because of the fallout that has taken place between Micheal Masi and Toto Wolff with Lewis Hamilton also left disappointed at the decision of Micheal Masi during the final lap of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix which saw Max Verstappen take the world title.

This year’s annual FIA Gala was the last function that Jean attended as the President of the FIA. His tenure has come to the end on 17th December and he has been replaced by Mohammed Ben Sulayem. He held office for 10 consecutive years. He was the 9th president to hold office.

With Jean going out and Sulayem stepping in it is going to be interesting to see if there are any more outgoings or not. Micheal Masi is very much at risk after his controversial decision-making in Abu Dhabi and one has to wonder if Masi is going to end up going out of the door as well.
