“Never Give Up”: Lewis Hamilton After Winning ESPY Award for Best Driver

Being 36-years-old, Lewis Hamilton is surely one of the most celebrated drivers of all time to have ever enriched the Formula 1 paddock. As the road ahead of him gets tough to win his 8th world title. Yet he managed to gain a lot of confidence after clinching the ESPY Best Driver Award. There is no doubt that the British driver has been an inspiration to young athletes all around the world, be it with his achievements on the track or off it.

Although the seven-time World Champion was not present to receive this award. But he shared a video on his social media to thank everyone and displayed his gratitude for being chosen for the same. With Mercedes looking to make a comeback at Silverstone, this could just be the push required by Lewis Hamilton to be back at his supreme best. 

Lewis Hamilton Wins ESPY Best Driver Award 

The seven-time world champion wasn’t available to receive his award at the prestigious event. Hence, he took to Twitter to show how grateful he is for receiving such a famed honor. 

He said, “Thank you to the ESPYS, and to all the fans for this incredible award. I have currently not had the pleasure of going to one of these amazing awards that the ESPYS do, but I am really so appreciative of all the amazing support that the ESPYS has given me over the years.

“And, I really just want to send lots of love and positivity, and to all the young athletes out there doing incredible things – continue to strive for greatness, continue pushing. Never give up, there really isn’t a thing we can’t do if we put our minds to it. And, also if we come together, so during this time, stay positive and God bless,” Hamilton concluded.

Hopefully after the humiliation of the previous five grand prix, Hamilton could rise once again to impress the crowd at Silverstone by reducing the deficit for himself and his team in respective standings.
