Twitter Reacts as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen Guarantee Front Row Lock Out; Leclerc, Perez Shock Disappointment at 2021 Qatar GP

With only 2 races left in the Formula 1 season, the title fight between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton is very much alive and exciting. With the Qatar Grand Prix up next, the pressure is on for teams to deliver. With the Qatar GP being held for the very first time, the drivers and fans did not know what to expect going into qualifying.

Mercedes however were consistent and delivered well on their behalf, with Lewis Hamilton taking pole position by four tenths of a second. Valtteri Bottas took third, while Verstappen split the two Mercedes by taking second place and ensuring a front row lockout between the two intense rivals.

Pierre Gasly took a fantastic fourth place after a fantastic drive, while Fernando Alonso showed his class by taking fifth place on the grid. The Ferrari and McLaren fans will also have something to look forward to, as Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz take sixth and seventh place on the grid.

Charles Leclerc’s Disappoints due to Damaged Chassis; Sergio Perez’s Poor Finish Makes it Hard for Verstappen to beat Lewis Hamilton

The two biggest shocks of the day was second Red Bull driver, Sergio Perez, who got knocked out in Q2 and will start the race tomorrow in 11th position. Charles Leclerc also finished in a disappointing P13, the poor performance later credited to a damaged chassis.

The drivers grid for tomorrow has ensured an exciting front row lockout between Verstappen and Hamilton. While Perez and Leclerc will be looking to redeem themselves, Gasly and Alonso will try to hold on to their positions. Ricciardo and Russell have some ground to make, and this overall sets the fans for an exciting Grand Prix.
