Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has recently been crowned the 2021 Formula One World Champion. The 24-year-old Dutchman won the title on the last race of the 2021 season in Abu Dhabi after beating 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton in an epic season finale.

At the age of 18, Max Verstappen won the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix on his debut for Red Bull Racing, becoming the youngest-ever driver and the first Dutch driver to win a Formula One Grand Prix. Since then the Dutchman has claimed 20 race victories and 60 podiums and is one of the brightest talents on the Formula One Grid.

Max Verstappen was born in Belgium and resided in Bree, Belgium. His mother is a Belgian national and was raised in Maaseik, a Belgian town at the Dutch border. After his 18th Birthday, in October 2015, Verstappen relocated to Monaco where he has been living since.

Max rents a penthouse in Monte Carlo. He rents the home which is priced around $17 million. The Dutch driver’s home is in the same apartment block as Felipe Massa and Daniel Ricciardo. He has not shared any pictures apart from a few videos he posted on his Instagram which show the driver performing exercise on his balcony.

Monaco is a familiar destination as many Formula One drivers choose to relocate there due to tax reasons. What is Max Verstappen’s Net Worth

Max Verstappen is due to remain at Red Bull until at least the end of the 2028 season after signing a contract extension. Verstappen is now the joint highest earner on the Formula One Grid along with title rival Lewis Hamilton earning $55 million a year. Verstappen said. “I love this team and last year was simply incredible, our goal since we came together in 2016 was to win the championship and we have done that, so now it’s about keeping the number one on the car long-term.”

Max Verstappen has an estimated net worth of $30 million in 2022. Verstappen won £12 million in bonuses for his Formula One world championship win last year. Max owns the exclusive £2million priced Aston Martin Valkyrie. In November 2020, Verstappen bought a Dassault Falcon 900EX aircraft from Virgin Galactic. The aircraft is registered PH-DTF and operated by Exxaero.

Verstappen would be sporting the Number 1 on his car and helmet as he defends the title ahead of the 2022 season. Red Bull have retained Sergio Perez as his teammate and the duo will be on the hunt to Red Bull’s first Constructors title since 2013.
