Seven-time F1 world champion and Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton loves social media and regularly treats his fans with updates from his personal life. The driver boasts a large following on Instagram and Twitter, with over 34 million combined followers.
Recently, during the weekend off between the Saudi Arabian GP and the Australian GP, the driver took time off from his training duties and visited Dubai for a resting weekend. He shared multiple photos and videos of his visit on Instagram. The driver deleted the post of him skydiving, but the video was shared by ESPN.
Lewis Hamilton has been active on all platforms since his return to social media in February, after a break following the Abu Dhabi GP. The driver has the highest following and influence on the entire grid, with more than 3x followers than the reigning champion and the Dutch driver Max Verstappen.
Lewis Hamilton’s start to the 2022 season
The Briton and his team didn’t get off to a start as they’d have expected and wanted to have. Lewis Hamilton realized that there was a major setback to his pursuit of the record eighth championship title during the Bahrain GP when he qualified only P5 for the main race.
The next weekend, in Saudi Arabia, Lewis was knocked out of Q1 and started only P15, thanks to a place upgrade due to Mick Schumacher’s withdrawal from the race. This certainly has dented his contention for the championship as the car and balance look off for the driver and the team.
However, Lewis doesn’t seem to have given up yet. He managed to finish with points in both the races, and if there’s a driver we can be certain about making a strong comeback is Lewis himself.
