Fortnite has revealed the final event for Chapter 3, naming it Fracture, and recently released its trailer. Earlier, this event was announced at the FNCS Invitational Tournament, which has since sparked several new fan theories. Popular theorist FNChiefAko gives out the following: “In the event, we’ll find and recruit Midas to help defeat Chrome and Herald with his golden touch. After chroming the Reality Tree, The Herald will summon The Nothing from it, and the fight against The Last Reality begins. What happens next is to be determined.

It is also speculated that the live event itself is set to be for around 40 mins, meaning that players joining in anytime in between will be able to take full advantage of the gameplay. As confirmed by BetterFnNew, which states “Fracture is a one-time only, in-game event starting Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 4 PM ET. The “Fracture” playlist will open up 30 minutes prior, so you can jump in before the event starts. You can also join in progress until 4:40 PM ET!“, making it one of the longest events of the year.

Fans have ever since speculated that the event will perhaps contain a lot many cut scenes and the gameplay limited in between. Further, the event is said to be similar to Horde Rush with Midas returning as the anti-hero to save the island against Ther Heralds and the spreading of the chrome. However, nothing definite has come from the developers so far, meaning that more about the game can only be found once the live event is made available to the public.

Fortnite’s new map concept has been leaked and is rumored to feature four distinct regions with different weather patterns respectively, improving the influence of character skins used within the game. The naming of the map has been the subject of quite a speculation since certain fans are of the opinion that it is going to be called Demeter, while others believe the new name is going to be Asteria, although nothing official has been confirmed by Epic Games so far.

The new design has two extreme corners set to have different weather regions, with the central area has kind of moderate weather; this would give the map a different appearance from most other maps of earlier seasons. Although fans have prevented overreacting so far, it will be interesting to find out what kind of reaction the community gives out once Fortnite officially confirms this map and how long it takes for games to adapt to these new settings.
