Free Fire OB30 update release date New characters, pet, weapons and more revealed

Free Fire OB30 update release date is approaching and it is about to hit shelves in a few days. Similar to other updates, this new update is bringing in new content to the game like new characters, new pet, new weapons, new mechanisms and more. Apart from the new content, the update will also bring many changes and nerfs. This article will detail all revealed leaks so far about the upcoming update.

Free Fire OB30 Update Release Date

There is no official date that has been announced regarding the OB30 release date. Garena releases the major patch update a day ahead of the conclusion of the Clash Squad Ranked Season. Free Fire OB30 update is expected to be released. The current Clash Squad ranked season 8 will end on September 29th 2021. Moreover, the previous OB29 update has been released a day before the conclusion of the Gold Royale bundle i.e., August 4, 2021.

Similarly, if we follow the similar pattern of the previous update, Free Fire OB30 is likely to be released on September 28 2021. Free Fire Max is going to be released on Sep 28 and we may expect that OB30 will release on the next day. We have to wait for an official announcement. Nonetheless, the servers will be down for a few hours on the release date of the update.

Free Fire OB30 Update New additions

1. New characters

• A. Character 1 – LEON

A new passive skilled character is going to be introduced in the upcoming update whose name is LEON. His ability is called ‘Buzzer Beater’ and the character is based on a famous personality that is yet to be revealed.  Following is how his ability works:

Level 1: Recover 5 HP after surviving a combat.

Level 2: Recover 10 HP after surviving a combat.

Level 3: Recover 15 HP after surviving a combat.

Level 5: Recover 25 HP after surviving a combat.

Level 6: Recover 30 HP after surviving a combat.

It is beneficial for rush players who engage in one-on-one combat without having time to heal themselves.

• B) Character 2 – Othos

Another new character is making a debut in the game with the OB30 patch. He is an active skilled character and it is named ‘Memory Mist.’ Here is how his ability works:

• Level 1: After eliminating an enemy, the positions of other enemies within 25m of the elimination spot will be revealed. Info will also be shared with the teammates.
• Level 2: After eliminating an enemy, the positions of other enemies within 30m of the elimination spot will be revealed. Info will also be shared with the teammates.
• Level 3: After eliminating an enemy, the positions of other enemies within 35m of the elimination spot will be revealed. Info will also be shared with the teammates.
• Level 4: After eliminating an enemy, the positions of other enemies within 40m of the elimination spot will be revealed. Info will also be shared with the teammates.
• Level 5: After eliminating an enemy, the positions of other enemies within 45m of the elimination spot will be revealed. Info will also be shared with the teammates.
• Level 6: After eliminating an enemy, the positions of other enemies within 50m of the elimination spot will be revealed. Info will also be shared with the teammates.

New Pet – Agent Hop

Each update will bring in a new pet and this update will also bring one new pet into the game. This time is going to be a rabbit, and its name is ‘Agent Hop.’ The ability of the new pet is known to be Bouncing Bonus. Each time the safe Zone shrinks, it receives EP. As a result, as the safe zone shrinks, players who equip Agent Hop will see an increase in their EP.

New Weapons

A new bolt action (sniper rifle) has been seen in the OB30 advance server. As per its description, you can heal your teammates using this gun.

A similar weapon of the above type will be added to the shotgun category.

New feature – Gameplay record feature

There is no longer any need to use third-party applications to capture your gameplay. With the OB30 update, an in-game feature will be introduced to Free Fire that will allow you to capture your gameplay and then save to your device’s system storage. A new ‘Display’ option will be added to the settings for the same.

• New Game modes

Following the OB30 update, 2 additional game modes will be added to the game: ‘Stonescape’ and ‘Pet Mania.’ There is currently no gameplay material provided for any of these game modes.
