The much-awaited Free Fire OB29 update is going to be launched today and the Free Fire server maintenance time is revealed yesterday and the game will be offline until evening.

Free Fire has a wide range of collectables along with unique features. The collectables include bundles, skins, characters, game modes etc. A new update will be released every 2 months in which the game developers bring in new modes, features, characters, weapons, pets and many more. Similarly, the OB29 is also set to bring such aspects into the game and today will mark the start of the OB29 update.

But players will be unable to access the for a few hours today because the servers are taken down due to maintenance and players can update the game during this break period.

Yesterday, the officials have announced that the game’s server will remain down on August 4, due to maintenance. The announcement was made via their official handles of social media and they have added that players cannot access the game during this break time because of their work on getting the new updates online. The social media post reads:

We'll be having our maintenance on the 4th August starting from the 9.30 AM to 5.45 PM IST 🔧⚙ Please be noted that during this time, you will not be able to enter the game as we work on getting the new updates in for you!

However, after the maintenance ends, you will be able to update your app and play as usual. Look forward to the new update and enjoy the new features soon! 💥

So as per the official post of Garena’s developers, here are the official timings of the Maintenance break:

Start time: 9:30 AM IST (GMT +5:30) on August 4, 2021

End Time: 5:45 PM IST (GMT +5.30) on August 4,2021

Any player who tries to access the game during this break will be shown and an error message stating:

 “The Server Will be Ready Soon.”

Why is Free Fire Showing Error Message Today?

The new OB29 update will be uploaded on all the global servers across the world in which the Indian server is also included. When the new update is uploaded, all the servers are needed to remain down for the purpose of maintenance. Maintenance is needed to bring in new updates and features of the new patch. The maintenance period for the OB29 update will commence at 9:30 AM IST (GMT +5:30) today and will remain down until 5:45 PM IST (GMT +5:30). 

During the above mentioned time, you cannot access the game as the servers will be down. The players who try to access the game will be shown an error message stating “The Server Will be Ready Soon.”  You cannot bypass these server issues and hence there is no other way to play during the servers are under maintenance. Therefore, one has to wait until the servers are online and then you can play.

How to Download Free Fire OB29 update

  1. After the update launches in the evening, head to the Google Play store and searche for Free Fire.
  2. Upon opening it, there will an option called ‘Update’ and by clicking it the game will be updated and installed automatically.
  3. Make sure that you are connected to a stable internet connection

  • Lone wolf mode 1v1
  • Firearm attachments – AR Magzine, Shotgun Muzzle, SMG Muzzle.
