4th-seed Daniil Medvedev will have his task cut out against a tricky opponent in the form of Marton Fucsovics in a Round of 128 encounter at the French Open 2020. Fucsovics is not an easy player to deal with and Medvedev will need to be on top of his game to defeat him.

Talking about the performance leading to the tournament, Medvedev had a good outing at the US Open as he reached the semifinal before losing out to the eventual champion Dominic Thiem. However, then came the major embarrassment for the 24-year old Russian. Seeded first and a prime contender to win the Hamburg Open, World No.5 Medvedev was shocked by Ugo Humbert in the first round itself. That can prove to be a major dent in the confidence of Medvedev before arriving at Roland Garros.

On the other hand, Marton Fucsovics fared well at both the Cincinnati Masters and the US Open, reaching the Round of 16 and third round, respectively. The 28-year old Hungarian is a threatening player on his day and Medvedev needs to be vary of any complacency.
