French Open 2020 witnessed stars at the Philip Chartier including Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev and Stan Wawrinka. The Day 4 showcased some tough competitions as Zvervev played a thrilling four-hour match to reach Round 3.

Rafael Nadal wins 95th match at RG
The King of Clay was in action to play against Mackenzie McDonald. While chasing his 13th title on clay, the Spaniard won 6-1,6-0,6-3. The match victory made Rafa win his 25th consecutive match in Paris. The player also won his 95th match at French Open. The champion has won the Roland Garros 12 times already and is now in Round 3.
Stan Wawrinka wins a four setter
Stan Wawrinka is in classic form. After winning the Prague Challenger he is dominating the French clay. He won against Dominik Koepfer of Germany. The match was a tough battle as Stan dropped a set. Yet he was quick to make amends and seal the match in the following set. He won 6-3,6-2,3-6,6-1 and broke the German twice as he sealed the victory. Stan in through to Round 3 now.
Dominic Thiem eases past Jack Sock
US Open 2020 winner, Dominic Thiem is en-route to Round 3 of the French Open 2020. He defeated the American Jack Sock in straight sets. Thiem had to struggle as the third set was stretched into a tie-break. Thiem won 6-1,6-3,7-6(8) as Sock’s effort in the last set won him 3 set point. He failed to convert them and Thiem narrowly escaped another set. Thiem is into round 3 and will face Casper Rudd in the next match.
Zverev saves himself from an exit
An exhaustive five-setter lasting four hours, saw Alexander Zverev as the winner. The US Open runner up was in a fix against Frenchman, Pierre Hugues Herbert who pushed Sascha into a fifth set. However, Zverev was able to win 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(5), 4-6, 6-4 after dropping the opening set.
