Kamaru Usman called out Jorge Masvidal after defeating Gilbert Burns and he slammed him in his post-fight interview, he said “I’m going to put him in a coffin this time. He doesn’t want that fight. He doesn’t want that fight. I guarantee he doesn’t want that fight. I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t want it.”
“Have I lied up here yet? Have I lied to you guys yet about anything? Nothing. I said what I wanted to do, and that’s what I’m going to do. We’ll see if it materializes.”
Now Masvidal has responded to this call out and said, “Gameplan to putting me in a “coffin” hug and toe stomp, who is this guy fooling? #theresurrection
Their last fight was rather boring and fans accused Usman of just clinching and stomping Masvidal’s foot throughout the entire fight and Masvidal trolled Usman for the same.
“Usman has a lot of options and Masvidal is one of them,” Dana White at the possibility of their fight
Dana White has confirmed that Kamaru Usman have a lot of options after defeating Gilbert Burns, he has already beaten almost every top contender in the welterweight, and now he can challenge those like Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and can get a rematch against Colby Covington.
He also claimed that this Masvidal match is also a possibility and if both of these agree to it then they are most likely to make this happen at the earliest.
