Georginio Wjnaldum is set to turn down Liverpool’s contract extension and looks forward to join Barcelona in the summer. The Dutch international is in his final year of his contract.

Wjnaldum will become a free agent in the summer and is allowed to listen to offers from other clubs. He joined Liverpool from Newcastle in 2016 and is set to end his 5 year association with the club.

Wjnaldum has made 158 appearances for Liverpool scoring 15 goals for the club. A source in ‘Daily Mail’ said – “Barcelona has always been a big draw for him.

“It’s a similar situation to when Gareth Bale left Tottenham for Real Madrid in that it is his ultimate destination.”
