Former Chelsea player, Gianluca Vialli, who was reportedly suffering from pancreatic cancer for a long time has been recovered now as announced by the club.
Club Chelsea wrote on Twitter about it as “Gianluca vialli has been given the all-clear following a 17 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Amazing news.” The 55-year-old had played for Juventus and Sampdoria before he moved to Chelsea.
Vialli talked about his journey of Cancer treatment for about 17 months, he told that he has gone through the 17 months of chemotherapy and this is of 2 cycle one is of eight months and another is of nine months. He also added that how much that time was difficult for him physically as well as mentally.
He was someone who played as a striker and later as the manager of the Italian Football Team. He started his career from his native place Italy for whom he made 105 appearances and scored 23 goals. He also won 3 Italian Cups, and represented Italy at the international level during The 1986 FIFA World Cup too.
Currently, all the football leagues in the world have been put on an indefinite hold, following the Novel Coronavirus COVID- 19 pandemic.
