He then said he was ready to step in irrespective of a lightweight or featherweight bout.

I’m still going to enjoy supporting Benny‘ – Giga Chikadze

Speaking in an interview with MMA Junkie, Chikadze said, “What I’m doing now is I’m buying my ticket – I will be in Houston. And anybody (falls off), I’ll be there. I think it’s a very good show. My brother (Dariush) is fighting there, and I want to be there. If the fight happens for me, too, it would be amazing. But if the fight doesn’t happen, I’m still going to enjoy supporting Benny. 145, 155 – yes. Both of them. I’ll be there.” [via MMA Junkie]

Chikadze is still undefeated in the UFC. He has been on a roll, since making his debut, winning all of his 6 fights. The Georgian, of late, has been quite vocal about facing someone he sees as his inspiration – Max Holloway.

However in a recent interview, with TMZ Sports, he went quite overboard claiming that his striking was better than Max, and that he would finish him in under 2 rounds if he was to fight him now. Well, that’s some lofty thoughts, but for now Chikadze will be hoping to take it step by step.
