The Panther National won’t come cheap as the estates will cost a whopping $3.5 million to $12 million depending on size and amenities.

Justin Thomas – The 14-time PGA Tour winner and seventh-ranked player in the world has collaborated with the golf legend Jack Nicklaus to work as a golf course architect. The duo is teaming up to create a luxury golf community in Palm Beach County, Florida.

The Hall of Famer Nicklaus, 82, and 28-year old PGA Tour star Thomas broke ground on Tuesday at the Panther National in Palm Beach Gardens. The ace members of the golfing fraternity are designing a community of high-end estates surrounded by a championship golf course set to open in late 2023. Notably, it’s going to be one of its kind golf course in the area in nearly two decades.

“It’s great to see golf grow out here,” Nicklaus told CNBC. “We’re going to use everything we can over this wetlands area.

I’m fascinated with golf course architecture … I’m going to learn from one of the best in the game,” Thomas said. “I’m going to sit back and listen more than anything,” he added.

“Our job to make this golf course a little more special”

The association between Nicklaus and Thomas marks their first-ever joint course design. The former has previously helped design over 420 golf courses in various parts of the world through his company Nicklaus Designs.

It’s our job to try to make this golf course a little different, a little more special, something that’s as interesting and something that will attract people out here … we want to create a successful mousetrap to draw the mice,” Nicklaus said.

“I don’t think something like this belongs in the game of golf — the whim of an advertising agency for 40 players,” said Nicklaus. “I think [PGA Tour Commissioner] Jay Monahan is doing a great job,” he concluded.
