LIV Golf is not relocating. Many have previously accepted this reality, but after wandering around The International during the opening round of LIV Golf Boston, it has now taken hold. The environment is relaxed and inviting, with music seemingly emanating from every direction.
It is difficult to avoid hearing today’s hits and classic throwbacks. The fan zone is loaded with many activities, such as putting and chipping competitions, corn hole, and a variety of food options. And, naturally, an endless supply of alcoholic beverages. After the start of the golf tournament, the fan zone was quickly vacated.

Fan’s expectations from Cameron Smith

For many golf enthusiasts who follow the inner workings of LIV Golf and the source of its money, it is impossible to divorce the product from the backer. However, Boston supporters are simply trying to enjoy some golf and have a good time. It is difficult to fault them. Professional golf rarely visits New England nowadays. The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, hosted the U.S.
Open a few months ago, and TPC Boston hosted the Deutsche Bank and Northern Trust (the latter of which was held in 2020), but the Boston area has been bereft of top-tier golf courses. “I’ve never attended a PGA Tour event before, so I decided to check it out.” Turner, a native of Massachusetts, was unable to obtain U.S. Open tickets. The No. 2 player in the world, Cameron Smith, appears to be enjoying the atmosphere as well.
On Thursday, the Australian was all grins while competing in the pro-am alongside his close friend and fellow countryman, Marc Leishman.
During the first round, he was a popular favorite, with a massive crowd watching his every move from the moment he mounted the horse.
Even late in the day, spectators rushed forward to catch a sight of the world’s second-best player. The 29-year-old finished his LIV debut with a 6-under 64, aided in part by a long eagle putt on the 18th and this stroke on 16.
