Rory Mcllroy is PGA Tour’s player advisory council Chairman and has often been sighted with candid assertions to make peace between the two formats. He came up with another proposition making an attempt and suggesting Greg Norman relieve himself from the association with the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Series.

The current turmoiled situation has both sides holding strong on their lawsuits against each other, with Greg Norman making it a point to present LIV’s case even in Washington. Rory said that Greg’s distanced approach could extend an olive branch and thus end the tumult once and for all.

Tiger spoke up about Rory Mcllroy saying, “What Rory has said and done are what leaders do. He is a true leader.” He adds that Rory Mcllroy has a presence and that his personality has an edge. “Everyone respects him and they respect him because not just his ball-striking, his driving, but the person he is,” added Tiger.

Rory Mcllroy has indeed been an amazing golfer, managing to stay within the Top 10 in all Major events this year. He never ceases to amaze me with his form and fortitude. Tiger Woods also mentioned Rory’s statement – blaming himself for Tiger’s ill health, at the JP McManus Pro-Am in Ireland where both spend a splendid time together.

Tiger appreciated Rory’s position, saying, “The fact that he’s actually able to get the things he said out in the public eye, be so clear-minded with it and so eloquent with it, meanwhile go out there and win golf tournaments on top of that, people have no idea how hard that is to do, to be able to separate those two things.” Tiger and Rory are set to tag team in the much anticipated ‘The MATCH’ against Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.
